General characteristics

Type 1 people are idealistic and live for their ideals. They are rule-abiding and insist that everything be done by the book. They have high standards and zero tolerance for mistakes, which makes Type 1s critical. They strive to do things right and go to great lengths to do so. The concepts of right and wrong are very clear to them, and honesty, morality, and correctness are crucial. They are afraid of making mistakes and may be intolerant of others' mistakes. They are critical of everything and expect it to be done right. Their standards are very high and they expect others around them to live up to them. They take their work seriously, are meticulous, and strive for perfection. They are organized and detail-oriented, and sometimes get bogged down in details. They are cautious, practical, and results-oriented.
